摘要
Treatment of an effluent containing 50 mg/L of both abietic acid (AA) and dehydroabietic acid (DHA) by 1-L upflow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB) and coupled anaerobic/aerobic system (CANOXIS) was comparatively studied for eight weeks. The CANOXIS reactors released three times less AA and DHA concentrations in their effluents than the UASB reactors. Furthermore, adsorption on UASB biomass was more significant than on CANOXIS biomass, with 15.8 compared to 4.1 mg AA/gVSS and 36.8 compared to 10.3 mg DHA/gVSS.
