摘要
The link between scientific understanding of the behaviour of estuarine sediments and their management is not well represented in the literature. This concluding article seeks to identify the key challenges for estuarine managers in terms of the issues related to safe and practical solutions for redistribution or disposal of sediments in macrotidal estuaries and tidal waters. The article concludes with some suggestions for future studies in this area and highlights the need for long term modelling studies. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
