THE COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PORTAL-FRAME PIER FOR HIGH-SPEED RAILWAY

摘要
With the construction of series high-speed railway projects, the portal-frame pier has been regarded as an effective way across the existing railways or highways for building high-speed railway bridges. The performance of portal-frame pier not only affects the comfort of passengers, but also the safety of the train itself. Based on the comparison of five different portal-frame piers, type selection for structure design and the effect of different structure parameters on the structure performance as well as stability of train has been studied. After the evaluation of mechanical performance and economic efficiency, a series of portal frame piers in Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway has been designed. It could be regarded as a reference for the identical structure design.
