摘要：
A system for efficient OLAP query processing in distributed data warehouses was presented. The Skalla system was developed for the task which translates the OLAP queries specified using relational algebra augmented with the GMDJ operator into distributed query evaluation plans. The experimental study conducted on Skalla evaluation scheme found the optimizations to be effective reducing the processing time by an order of magnitude. Results also demonstrated the scalability of Skalla techniques and quantified the performance benefits of the optimization techniques.
