Studies on the activities and synthesis of N-substituted pyrimidinyl or triazinyl-3-carbamoyl-4-hydroxy-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-1,1-dioxides

In this paper new 3-carboxamides of 4-hydroxy-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-1,1-dioxides were synthesized by aminolysis of 4-hydroxy-2-hydro(methyl)-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester-1,1-dioxides with substituted aminopyrimidines or aminotriazines. Their structures were characterized by H-1 NMR, IR, MS and elementary analysis. The biological tests indicated that the majority of these compounds showed herbicidal activity and some showed better plant-growth regulating activity and antiinflammatory activity.
