摘要
Evaluating the efficacy of Levamizol 1.5% against gastro-intestinal nematodes in goats was the aim of our study. 25 adult goats were examined. The animals were treated with Levamizole 1.5% per os, twice daily for two days in doses recommended by the manufacturer Using the McMaster method, the prevalence and intensity of gastro-intestinal nematodes infection were determined on the 2(nd) day before and 4(th) and 28(th) day after treatment. On the 4(th) and 28(th) day after dosing efficacy was 98.3% and 76.3% respectively. The results indicated a high, but short-term efficacy against gastra-intestinal nematodes in goats. The study indicated that Levamisol is effective only against adult forms of nematodes.
