Synthesis of PbTiO3 powder by molten salt method and its characteristics

摘要
Lead titanate ceramic powders were prepared by reaction of PbC2O4 and TiO2 in NaCl and NaCl-KCl molten salts at a temperature rang of 820-1000 V for 2 h. The grain size and morphology were influenced by the salts content and the temperature in chloride, below 900 V the grain size increases with increasing temperature and the grain size does not change apparently and spherical grain is obtained when the temperature is at above 900 degrees C. The grain growth process is controlled by diffusion and the morphology can be controlled by setting the salts component and temperature. The molten salt synthesis (MSS) is a simplest and innoxious method and has the advantages of high yield, low cost and short time for obtaining PbTiO3 powder.
