摘要：
In all of his numerous publications, Andy Isserman has consistently advocated the development of new and suitable theories and methods for planning for the future. The purpose of this brief article is to reflect Andy Isserman's scientific contributions to Urban and Regional Planning and to reaffirm the need to search for and develop appropriate scientific reasoning and methods to solve urban and regional issues in the Information Age.
