摘要
To slow down the pace of global warming, it is necessary to reduce carbon emission by implementing various low-carbon technologies, especially in the housing sector, a great contributor to the carbon emission. In China, 36, 000, 000 indemnificatory apartments Will be built during the Twelfth Five-year Plan period to provide housing for low and medium incoming families. Implementation of low-carbon technologies in indemnificatory housing is important for low-carbon economy, including energy saving and carbon emission reduction. Low-carbon technologies and their applications are discussed in this paper. A real case in China, Riverside Houses, is used to demonstrate the application of low-carbon technologies in indemnificatory housing in China. This case provides a good example for using low-carbon technologies in housing sector. It is expected that low-carbon technologies will be widely used in indemnificatory housing and other sectors in China for a low-carbon economy.
