Application of empirical mode decomposition to ultrasonic signal

摘要
In ultrasonic nondestructive testing, the ultrasonic echo-signal of pulse reflection is often disturbed by electronic noise, structure noise and so on. In order to improve signal detection and analysis the ultrasonic defect echo-signal must be denoised. In this paper, a new noise cancellation of empirical mode decomposition is proposed for enhancing signal-to-noise ration of the ultrasonic echo-signal. The ultrasonic echo-signal was collected by experimental system of ultrasonic data acquisition. The signal-to-noise ratio was enhanced about 6db by using this method and it is easy to identify the ultrasonic defect signal.
