摘要
There is a manifest relationship between media democracy and social ecology. Environmental protection and the media are strongly interrelated: e.g., health conditions of the Roma minority in East-Central Europe reflects environmental injustice. It is not the same as, though quite similar to, the environmental injustice concerning the Afro-American minority in the USA. Informative and societal opinion-shaping functions of the media may lend a hand to resolve this problem. In this regard, environmental education and the educational role of the media are of high importance. Concerning economic relocalization, e.g. permaculture should be mentioned at the level of environmental protection, whereas regarding potential media influence, the role of local media seems to be relevant.
