SATISFACTION OF THE INHABITANTS WITH SELECTED ASPECTS OF SOCIAL POLICY IN THE REGION

As it results from the title itself, this paper deals with the satisfaction of the inhabitants with the selected aspects of social policy in the region. The region is meant to be the self-governing region of Trencin. The aim of this article is to identify the sources of dissatisfaction of the inhabitants of self-governing region in relation to the most significant social problems, which using the empiric research are established by us. One of the methods we have used is the questionnaire method. Unemployment, system of vocational education, university education, not enough places in the nurseries, alcoholism of juveniles, high prices of apartments, divorce rate, homelessness, old people's homes are the most significant social problems within the self-governing region of Trencin and are included in the main results of this paper. The fact that as far as the area of social policy is concerned there is better satisfaction with the present president of the self-governing region Jaroslav Baska in comparison with the previous president Pavol Sedlacek can be included into the conclusions of empirical survey.
