摘要
Nursing manpower has long been a global issue. Taiwan's nursing manpower problem has been seriously influenced by the changes of National Health Insurance. Many scholars explored the turnover rate of the nurses, and tried to improve job satisfaction, but invalid. Recently, the media disclosed the truth of nurses as the victims of the blood and sweat of the hospital. However, the nurses' job satisfaction is affected by many factors. The purpose of this study is to explore the organizational culture and professional commitment as important factors of job satisfaction in a regional hospital. The instrument of standardized scales was applied to measure organizational culture, professional commitment and job satisfaction. A total of 303 nurses participated in this study. The results showed that organizational culture and professional commitment are important influencing factors. It is suggested that promoting the positive organizational culture and enhance nurses' professional commitment are necessary to improve nurses' job satisfaction.
