摘要
The robust design in early design phases has crucial effect on the quality of product. It aims to design a product that satisfies customer needs while ensuring minimal effects of environmental variations. So, it is very necessary to research on the system robustness. Axiomatic design generally leads to design robustness, which can easily represent system structure, capture design requirements, and identify functional requirements. The objective of this research is to develop a robust design framework that can analyze robustness of mapping process from the functional domain to physical domain in axiomatic design. It can improve the system robustness to the variations in design parameters and design matrix characteristic uncertainty. Two separate optimization objectives are traded off in the compromise decision support problem (cDSP). The essential of this framework is to infuse the robust design concept into the conceptual design process. The proposed method is demonstrated with an example on the structure uncertainty design.
