摘要：
An enabling information technology platform is required to transform the healthcare system to one that is focused on improving value for patients. The key attributes of this platform are that it is patient centered, uses common data definitions, includes all types of patient data, is accessible to everyone involved in care of the patient, includes templates and experts systems, and is structured to facilitate information extraction. These attributes are described within the context of clinical nurse specialist practice.
