摘要
A good percentage of AESF's membership is made up of suppliers to the industry, but for years suppliers weren't wholeheartedly welcomed into the leadership ranks. The late Herby Tilton, CEF, broke that "glass ceiling" in 1983, demonstrating that suppliers have much to offer in the way of educational knowledge. They also serve as conduits for new technologies and promote the Society's events and values while they call on customers. Suppliers encourage people to become AESF members. AESF's newly elected president, Paul I. Frank, is the fifth individual from the supply side to be elected president, and he credits his friend and former boss - another supplier - with giving him a reason to join the AESF. Paul is a a likable, energetic catalyst who encourages others to take action. You can bet that in his more than 30 years in the industry, he's nudged many individuals to become AESF members - make that active AESF members.
