A Comparison Study on the Physical Education in the University of Beijing

This thesis, based on the Indicators of modernization of physical education at school in capital (Beijing) selected from the project titled Research on Modernization of Sport and Physical Education of Beijing developed by innovative team, conducted the comparative study on status of physical education in colleges and universities of Beijing before the Beijing Olympic Games and after Gaines by employing the statistic data in 2006 and those in 2010. It has been found that after the Olympic Games there still exist large gap in the following aspects: average sport area of per student, proportion between physical educators and students, the rate of PE teachers with master degree, the rate of eligibility of university students reaching the standard of the National Physical Health, as well as the time of their after-class physical activity in colleges and universities of Beijing in the future.
