Aflatoxins production was studied in ten isolates of A. flavus inoculated in soybean seeds. Out of 10 isolates, isolate IV produced a large amount of aflatoxin, where as isolate III, V, VII, IX produced moderate amount of aflatoxin, and rest of the isolates produced either little amount or nil. Effect of aflatoxin produced by isolate IV was studied on shoot and root length of different soybean genotypes. Among the genotypes, Monetta showed the highest percentage of decrease in shoot length (55.36%) over control, followed by Bragg (48.29%) and Hardee (45.64%). Similarly, Bragg showed highest percentage of decrease in root length (61.73%) over control, followed by Monetta (61.1%) and Hardee (57.80%).
