The mechanism behind the magic: The mechanism of light conversion in perovskite solar cells has been a matter of debate since the first highly efficient devices were published. A series of articles indicate that these solar cells should be seen as silicon-like photovoltaic devices rather than excitonic solar cells. © 2015 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
