ACCELERATING CALCULATION FOR NDE SIMULATOR OF FEM BY USING MULTI-GPGPUs AND ITS PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION

摘要
Aiming at constructing a powerful FEM simulation system that can deal with very large models speedy and accurately, we have improved our original FEM simulator "ComWAVE" for analyzing NDE problems. In this study, we developed our code so that it can be compatible with multi-GPGPUs system, achieving about 80 times faster calculation compared with the conventional CPU for 3D model including anisotropic materials. Moreover, we report our new tool, a kind of restart function which shifts computation area from previous region to succeeding region according to the wave propagation principle. It can deal with models of large number of elements keeping good accuracy.
