Using repertory grid technique to externalize tacit knowledge of construction enterprise's staff

A practical issue faced by construction enterprises is how to mine their staffs' tacit knowledge, while knowledge management is becoming an important way to enhance company competence. This paper presents a knowledge acquisition technique, repertory grid technique derived from Kelly's personal construct theory. And a real example which shows the implement process of repertory grid technique is described. Finally, some suggestions are given on how, to apply repertory grid technique in construction enterprise with the purposes that the technique can break a new ground for mining staffs' tacit knowledge and fasten the knowledge management process of construction enterprise.
