A study was conducted to demonstrate asymptotics of Hermite-Padé approximants for two functions with branch points. The approximants were proposed by Hermite, while performing the proof of the transcendence of e. It was observed that discriminants degenerate into the diagonal Padéapproximants. The asymptotic behavior of Hermite-Padé approximants for a set of analytic function with branch points is significantly more complicated and richer.
