A novel method for image edge extraction

Edge extraction is one of the most important tasks in image processing. This paper presents a novel method of accumulation of self-reinforcement of independent edges for image edge extraction. Firstly using repetitive random searches to obtain various possible independent-edge trajectories in edge-detected image. Then, self-reinforcing mid accumulating the independent-edge trajectories respectively. At last, extracting the edges according to the results of the accumulation of self-reinforcement. Lots of experiments show that this method can extract edges effectively and suppress the noise at the same time.
