Reaction rates and transport coefficients of ionized species in high temperature air

摘要
A new and universally applicable transport model for ionized flows which uses little input data and consumes moderate computational resources without sacrificing accuracy has been developed. In this pa per, the model is used to compute the transport properties of air from room temperature up to 30000 K at different pressures. The equilibrium composition of air is determined as the steady state of a rate equation model based on a detailed reaction scheme. The results of this model are compared with a simplified transport model of Gupta et al. (1990/91) and the sensitivity of the transport coefficients to different input parameters is shown.
