摘要
Different percentage of content in cement brick microwave absorber has been described and investigated in this study. Two biomass material which are palm oil fuel ash (POFA) and coconut were selected in this study to use as an absorbing material which replaces the cement ratio in biomass cement brick absorber are 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. The absorber was designed using CST Microwave Studio Suite to predict the preliminary result before fabrication of absorber. The free space arch reflectivity measurement method is used to measure absorption performances of biomass cement brick absorber at frequency range 8 to 12 GHz. This study showed these biomass cement brick have the ability of microwave absorption. The microwave absorption performance is affected by the different percentage of biomass in cement brick microwave absorber. Besides the percentage of carbon content, the porosity of material contribute to optimize the absorption performance.
