Male adolescent health

Male adolescent medicine is still a quite unknown part of pediatrics. Scientific articles are scattered in pediatric, urologic, endocrinologic and pediatric surgery fields. Thus, it is difficult to obtain advanced training and improve one's knowledge in this special field. The aim of this article is to raise interest for the specialty of disorders and health care in adolescent boys. Due to limited space, only some of the disorders can be discussed here. Professional work with boys requires knowledge of its diversity. This is the best prerequisite for comprehensive male health care. As increasingly more advisory boards and health care centers develop, the better and more effective boys' and thereby mens' health care will be.
