A Novel Imidazolium Ionic Liquids and Its Electrochemical Behavior

摘要
In the present work, a novel ionic liquid with two imidazole groups was synthesized using polyethylene glycol with various chain lengths as a linkage block. Fourier transform infrared spectra, nuclear magnetic resonance spectra and elemental analysis were performed to characterize the products. The results indicate that a novel ionic liquid with two imidazole groups linked by polyethylene glycol is successfully synthesized in the process described. The total yields are all more than 60%. Moreover, the electrochemical behavior of the as-prepared samples was explored. We found the as-prepared ionic liquid possesses wide electrochemical window and high conductivity, implying that it is a potential electrolyte for lithium ion battery.
