摘要
The cities of the world face great common challenges. Among them: the challenges of sustainable development, the population increase, polarization of economic growth, accentuation of inequality; increase in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and depreciation of public budgets. In this sense, digital cities play a differential role in territorial development and competitiveness, closing gaps in the educational system, cultural diversity, urban planning, public management, mobility and transport. But, complexity is a complexus tissue of inseparably associated heterogeneous constituents, where the paradox of the simple and the complex is presented, and this is where change appears, the construction of new social orders, where becoming becomes a constitutive principle and explanatory to solve urban problems. In the present investigation, a documentary analysis was carried out, aimed to identify the evolution of the digital transformations of cities around sustainability, and how does it generate validity and quality of life for its citizens? All this, based on the collection of secondary sources from a technological surveillance process, which allowed analyzing relevant information in specialized and governmental databases in Spain, Mexico and Latin America, to compose a report on Smart Cities or cities smart and their sustainable ecosystems.
