摘要：

The paper describes a method to study the transient behaviour of power systems with correlated wind speeds. With this aim, a generalised method to extract correlation from real-world measurement data is proposed. This method allows accommodating data with any sampling rate and any probability distribution. The case study discusses the impact of correlated wind speeds on power system dynamics by utilising the well-known two-area system modified to include a distribution network with wind power generation. The correlation of wind speeds is set up using real-world data. Simulation results show that a high level of correlation among the wind speeds worsens the dynamic performance of the system.
