Determination of stellar atmospheric parameters of LAMOST A-type stars

By fitting templates, we have determined the parameters of A-type stars which were identified spectroscopically in the pilot survey of the Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST, also called Guo Shou Jing Telescope). The library of synthetic spectra that was used was based on Kurucz codes. Before determining atmospheric parameters, we had first to investigate the effects of instrumental broadening upon the derivation of the atmospheric parameters and on the rotational velocities which we also measured for the stars. We have also proposed fitting templates to spectral lines in order to obtain the parameters of A type stars. The results are discussed.
