The environmentally friendly waterborne polyurethane acrylate (WPUA) dispersions were prepared from isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), polyether polyol (NJ-210), dimethylo propionic acid (DMPA), hydroxyethyl methyl acrylate (HEMA) and different mixed acrylate. Some physical properties of the aqueous dispersions such as viscosity, particle size and surface tension were measured. Some mechanical performances and solvent resistance of PUA films were investigated. The results showed that particle-size decreased with the increasing of TPGDA content but polydispersity was actually opposite. When the ratio of BA/ TPGDA was 70/30, the film had excellent water resistance, alkali resistance and mechanical property. The obtained PUA have great potential application such as coatings, leather finishing, adhesives and sealants.
