Research on Water Resources Management in the Tarim River Basin

摘要
The Tarim River, located in the and area of northwestern China, is the longest continental river in the world, with a total stream length of about 1321 km. It was very rich in natural resources but with venerable environment. With the economic development, the contradiction between water supply and demand is obvious, and ecological environment deteriorates increasingly. In the paper we studied water issues in Tarim River basin and analyzed the problems of water resources management. Besides, we put up countermeasures for the water resources management from 4 aspects, including clearing water resources property rights, establish a scientific system of water utilization indicators, determining reasonable allocation of water rights, calculation of the water resources environment. The purpose is to make use of water resources effectively and promote the sustainable development of the regional economy.
