Organizational web sites have become a primary source of information within the application process. In this paper an experimental study is reported which explores the effect of the quality of corporate recruitment sites on job-seeker's attraction. Students who are visiting recruitment sites were asked to indicate different aspects of the web site (i.e., content, usability, layout, and interaction) and characteristics of the organizational attraction (i.e., pursuit intention and recommendation intentions). As hypothesized, organizational attraction was positively related to the expected web site quality Additionally, the perceived web site quality predicted changes in perceived organisational attraction, with an emphasis on web site content and layout. Findings support an assimilation view of expectations on changes in web site quality. Results are discussed in terms of the personnel marketing process.
