Full-scale measurement of wind pressures acting on the deck cross section of a cable-stayed bridge

摘要
This study investigates the wind pressure acting on the deck of a cable;stayed bridge based on the full-scale measurements and the wind tunnel tests. The aerodynamic stability of bridge structures is usually investigated through wind tunnel tests, however, there are no studies which compare the wind pressure between the full-scale and the model-scale tests. In this study, the wind pressure acting on the deck section of a cable-stayed bridge was measured by the full-scale measurement, and the mean and fluctuating pressure and the gust force were compared with the wind tunnel tests. And also the full-scale spanwise co-coherence of the wind velocity and the wind pressure was investigated. Finally, the gust response of the bridge deck and the structural damping measured during cantilever erection were described.
