Data Management Issues in Cloud Integrated Computing: A Big Picture

Data are of diverse types that are stored and processed in various ways. Data arrive arriving from multiple sources have their own specific attributes and may be static, dynamic or both as time elapse which retains them unique. Data security and data management are the key issues that challenge trusted cloud computing. Security in terms of confidentiality, availability and integrity of data is primary when dealing with voluminous data storage and its transactions. More importantly, cloud data should be protected from malicious attempts that aim at modifying and concealing it even when initiated by malicious service providers themselves. The paper brings out the characteristics of various data forms and their migration to cloud platform.
