PERFORMANCE INDICATORS IN PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES MANAGEMENT

At a time when resources are getting more and more limited, it is necessary for spending public funds to be economic and rational. There is a visible need for economic, efficient and effective decision - making and management in the public sector. Information from external financial reports are not sufficient for public sector managers to make management decisions and therefore is necessary to develop cost and management accounting systems, as well as performance indicators which would be used as basis for quality business activity management in public sector entities. By using scientific methods of interview, analysis and synthesis, the intention of this work is to establish the performance measurement's importance for management decision - making at public sector entities.
