摘要
Ultra-Wideband (UWB), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee are promising wireless standards, used for short range wireless communication. Among them, ZigBee is accepted as Low Rate-Wireless Personal Area Network (LR-WPAN) standard by industries, requiring low data rate at low power and low cost. Due to limited network resources, ZigBee network nodes have limited computation and communication capabilities. Therefore, there is a need of an effective routing protocol which can provide real-time, reliable data delivery. This paper presents a new geographic routing protocol that follows reliable packet delivery of real-time data using two-hop neighbor information. That reduces the path setup and path recovery latency and improves reliability of real-time data delivery by increasing end-to-end deadline Packet Delivery Ratio (DPDR). Moreover, results show that it prolongs the network lifetime by distributing low priority traffic through energy efficient nodes and critical, periodic, aperiodic and mixed traffic through the reliable nodes that can meet the required speed for timeliness data delivery.
