A novel frequency-domain receiving technique for UWB systems

摘要
The UWB receiver based on frequency domain approach is made to be more CMOS friendly and lower complexity in hardware implementation. The paper proposes a novel frequency-domain receiving technique for UWB system, Frequency-Domain Spectrum-Optimal-Combination (FD-SOC) technique. The performance of UWB receiver based on FD-SOC in IEEE 802.15.3a channel model is evaluated by computer simulation, and is compared with that of UWB MRC-Rake receiver with maximum likelihood (ML) channel estimation. Simulation results indicate that FD-SOC UWB receiver has good performance.
