A Research on the Two-Sided Platform Pricing Model

摘要
Based on platform pricing researches from Economides & Katsamakas (2006), the authors further prove the existence cross-group network externalities through mathematical analyses. Researches of the author shows that there is an optimal access charge, which makes the platform profit maximization; and there is negative correlation between the optimal access charge platform charge to application software vendors and cross-group network externalities. Meanwhile, the platform total profits and cross-group network externalities are positively correlated. This research may provide reference for Chinese marketing studies.
