摘要
A new physical model is proposed for the description of single-bubble sonoluminescence-a phenomenon, whereby optical emission appears as a result of rapid collapse of a cavitation bubble in a liquid medium under the action of ultrasound. The model is based on a concept of fractal dimensionality, which is introduced for the description of a photon field emitted from the hot cavity of a bubble. An attempt is made to use the proposed model for explaining some experimental results that are at variance with the existing theoretical notions.
