摘要
Multiplication by adventitious shoot regeneration from root explants was found to be the most suitable method for the propagation of Swertia chirata. A two-step system consisting of an initial 3-week cultivation on modified Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 3 mu M 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP), followed by another period of 3 weeks on hormone-free medium was used. After rooting and acclimatization micropropagated plants could be successfully cultivated in Nepal.
