摘要
The mechanism of suicide is multifaceted in nature. It involves the orchestrated effects of several biological stressors. Suicidal vulnerabilities follow the strain generated due to the accumulation of various stresses starting right from one's life. Assessment of such forces and its impacts leading to suicide is an important area of research. The objective of this paper is to integrate few practical (or evidence-based) forces or stressors, such as (a) several 'Birth complications' and (b) 'Schizophrenia' leading to 'Suicide' using a semantic Bayesian model. A menu-driven generic tool has finally been developed for computing the stresses in one's lifetime and the risks of suicide. The usability of the tool has been tested on a group of users. It has been observed that the developed tool is user-friendly yielding a high level of satisfaction among users.
