摘要
The objective of the publication is to analyze various manifestations of entrepreneurship and its level in Poland and in Latvia in the years 2015-2017. The basis for the discussion is the comparative analysis of selected indicators of entrepreneurship based on the data included in GEM reports. The comparison of two economies, based on the same indicators in the field of entrepreneurial attitudes and behavior, allows the identification of the strengths of entrepreneurship of individual countries and the indication of weaknesses occurring in this area. The level of entrepreneurial activity in each of the countries will be the consequence of the impact of negative factors, which must be eliminated, and positive ones, strengthened by the provision of friendly legal regulations as well as the flexible and effective ecosystem of entrepreneurship, adapted as much as possible to the needs of people at different stages of the process of becoming an entrepreneur, business development and termination of the activity.
