Regional landscape ecological risk assessment is based on landscape and it describes the likelihood and damage degree of adverse ecological effects that are produced through human activity or natural disaster to ecological system structure and function in the region. Taking Henan Province as a example, by a series of steps, including definition and analysis of study area, landscape type division and receptor analysis, measurement of risk source and ecological endpoint, qualitative and quantitative description basing landscape pattern index on disturbance, estimating space-time distributing by using appropriate ecological risk index model, and integrated risk assessment, it was acquired about spatial distribution map of ecological risk index from low risk region to high risk region in 1980s and 2005. The results can provide decision basis and theoretical support for ecological restoration and environmental management.
