The Effect of Mesh Size, Number of Rod, & Length of Rod Towards Touch Voltage, Step Voltage, and Ground Resistance In Grounding System

摘要
In grounding system design, there are many parameters that affect touch voltage, step voltage, and grid resistance such as depth of grid, mesh size, number of rod, length of rod, size of buried conductor, etc. This research simulated effect of mesh size, number of rod, and length of rod, where 3 design models were created. Model 1 using 4 rods with length per rod 3m and mesh size 20 x 20m, model 2 using 156 rods with length per rod 3 m and mesh size 40 x 15 m, and model 3 using 66 rods with length per rod 6m and mesh size same as model 2. The result of this research after compared 3 design models, model 1 is the most optimal, due to materials that used is less than other models and the value of mesh voltage and step voltage actual are in between ( not the highest or the lowest).
