Supercontinuum generation at 1.0μm in holey fibers with dispersion flattened profiles

摘要
We report the results of a systematic experimental and theoretical study of 1.06 mu m pumped supercontinuum generation in a range of holey fibers with different flattened dispersion profiles. Clear differences in terms of the underpinning mechanisms emerge depending on the spacing between the two fiber zero-dispersion wavelengths. By examining the phase matched wavelength range of the corresponding fiber dispersions, one can predict the maximum achievable supercontinuum bandwidth. (c) 2006 Optical Society of America.
