Hands-on experiences from the Orsted μ-satellite

摘要：
On 23(rd) of February 1999, the Danish mu-satellite Orsted was lifted into space by an American Delta-II rocket. Being Denmark's first satellite ever, its development was a learning process as well as an engineering task. New approaches were applied as the developers were not preoccupied by previous experiences. Focussing on the data handling system in general - and the on-board data handling software in particular - this article will outline the strategies employed by the Orsted development team as well as the range of lessons learned from this.
