摘要
Prediction of failure behavior in filament-wound composite pressure vessels is one of the important issues for the reliable application of vessels. Acostic emission during the hydroproof testing of the vessels is used to solve this problem. Based on the hydroproof acoustic emission behavior, failure sites can be located successfully even though the identification of the failure mode is not possible by using AE parameters such as event amplitude and event energy. The further analysis including prediction of the final burst pressure and the final burst location in vessels with/without impact damage is currently undertaken.
