Research on the Modern Transformation of China's Traditional Administrative Ethics

As we know, administrative ethics plays a more and more important role in public management. The paper tries to research on the modem transformation of China's traditional administrative ethics in order to explore some valuable suggestions for the reform, furthermore, to ensure China's current public management reform in a right way. Firstly, the paper analyzes the ethical features of China's traditional administrative ethics which mainly based on Confucius ideology from which we can conclude the active value for human's moral and action and the loss of public nature resulted from the power ethics. Then it digs out the necessity of traditional administrative ethics to accord with modem society's features. Followed by the explanation of responsibility ethics, the paper finally pays more attention to the exploration of how to realize the transformation from power administration to responsibility administration given the new context of Socialist marketing economy. The paper sums up three mutual-cooperated ways that are the ethical integration of organizational system, the confirmation of value base for justice and the moral education relied on critical consciousness.
