Challenges to postgraduate studies in Iberoamerican in a globalized World

The internationalization of knowledge, the need to increase the number of doctors, the establishment of international systems of quality accreditation, and a greater presence of offers of virtual teaching (e-learning) are the challenges faced by Iberoamerican universities in programming postgraduate studies in the near future. We can also foresee that there will be changes in the nature of the demand for postgraduate studies. The growth in the demand for continuous education, the reduction in the formative periods, the more professionalized nature of postgraduate studies, the internationalization of the demand and the development of teaching more closely tied to sociogeographical conditions as a way of dealing with a greater competition are the most foreseeable changes.
